Who we are

We are a collection of local artists passionate about bringing creativity to your life.

Our goal extends beyond a singular workshop - we want to create a complete artistic community. Whether you’re celebrating with friends, searching for a new hobby or skill, looking for new ways to socialise or perhaps seeking alternative therapies, we aim to have something for all.

Caterham Craft Room is your safe space.
We can’t wait to meet you!

Meet the Artists

Shannon

Caterham Craft Rooms was a vision I had and I am so grateful we are bringing it to life! As an accountant, I craved creativity and found myself painting for the first time in lockdown. I have since exhibited around the country, had my work featured on the underground and grown my passion into a career, with pieces reaching as far as Florida. After losing my ‘muggle’ job earlier this year, I felt such a pull to focus on what made me happy. I landed on creating, and so Caterham Craft Room is born…

Amanda

Amanda was the first person I signed up to teach at Caterham Craft Rooms. I always felt she had a wonderful energy and her passion for this project shone. Amanda is the artist behind Curlytot Creations, where she brings her love of colour and creativity through watercolours and acrylics. Passionate about making art accessible to everyone, she not only produces original paintings and commissions, but also runs engaging workshops and themed parties that invite people of all abilities to explore
their creativity. Amanda hosts Party & Paint, Watercolour classes and Parent & Baby classes
with us.

Georgia

Georgia is a London based creative, primarily working in photography and content creation but recently broadening her work into floristry. Her floral style is bold and modern, with fun shape and seasonal flowers. Georgia’s calming and friendly workshops at Caterham Craft Room will help you understand techniques for conditioning and arranging flowers. They include bouquet arrangement, wreath making and hanging basket creations.

Charlotte

Charlotte is a calligrapher and hand-lettering artist based in Purley. Specialising in bespoke stationery and hand-painted signage for weddings, events and brands, she also offers personalised gifts, live engraving, window paintings and everything inbetween. If she can write on it she will!
Charlotte also runs workshops designed to give people the chance to learn modern calligraphy in a relaxed, supportive environment. Charlotte will be holding both technique classes and seasonal projects.

Kate

Kate is a multi disciplinary artist primarily
working with paint and textiles. She has been
teaching for 10 years across a wide range of media including drawing, painting, tapestry, quilting and more. Based in Wallington, her work is regularly exhibited across
the UK. Kate is holding needlework tapestry workshops to help you learn the basics and create your own expressive, abstract piece of textile art.

Tracey

Tracey’s inspiration always stems from nature; flowers, the sea and sky which she finds almost magical. Her love of flowers started in early life, as well as the colours it’s the intricate detail of the petals that fascinate. As well as painting with acrylic, Tracey has developed a passion for working with alcohol ink; the vibrancy of the highly pigmented ink and the way it moves and creates different tones when mixed with alcohol is mesmerising.

An experienced teacher, Tracey loves sharing her passion for art through her relaxed workshops. She has sold work across Europe, the USA and Asia, teaches at various locations and exhibits during the year. She was nominated as Surrey Artist of the Year in 2024. Tracey teaches alcohol ink workshops with us.

Michelle

Michelle’s love for music began at 10, evolving into song writing, singing and composition. Music was a way to express herself and connect deeply with others. Years later, while seeking ways to support her family and navigate life's challenges, she discovered Reiki. What began as a search to help others became a profound journey of healing for herself. Reiki gave balance and clarity, ultimately guiding her back to sound. She realised that music had always been more than just sound; it was a gateway to transformation and emotional release.

Today, she is a certified Reiki and Sound Healer, blending energy work with the vibrational power of sound to help others find inner harmony. Her journey has come full circle, and she is honoured to guide others as they rediscover their own strength and truth. Michelle and I will be collaborating to provide Artistic Sound Bath sessions, combining the healing power of sound with an opportunity for creative expression.

Jess

Local polymer clay artist Jess runs a small hand-
made jewellery business called Poppy Sage. Her journey with clay started around 4 years ago when she fell in love with its versatility. Her signature style is colourful marbled designs with celestial metallic elements, but she also loves coming up with seasonal ideas and detailed florals on occasion.
Jess’s clay jewellery workshops will enable you to create your own pieces which will be finished by her ready for collection.

Ginny

Ginny’s artistic journey, rooted in India an enriched by her travels abroad, reflects a lifelong passion for creativity. Trained through courses, workshops and collaborations, she works across diverse mediums - from watercolours and acrylics to pastels, gouache and charcoal - bringing subjects like botanicals, wildlife and landscapes to life. For the past 5 years she has been passionately nurturing creativity in her community and is expanding this through Artistic Exploration and Pizza & Paint workshops with us.

Ginny has exhibited widely, from Trafalgar Square to Newashgate Gallery. In 2022 she was shortlisted for Surrey Artist of the Year, a testament to the magic of her art.

Emily

Emily is a potter and basketweaver based in Surrey. She runs a variety of classes for all ages and abilities across the South East with a particular emphasis on creative nurturing and therapeutic making within health, care and social settings. She has been pottery tutor at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, home of the Chelsea Pensioners since 2013 and collaborates with a variety of venues to integrate the natural environment into her sessions. Alongside her teaching practice she makes a small batch of work from her garden studio in Surrey and sells via her Etsy shop

Nathalie

Nathalie is a local potter from Caterham.  She has been running pottery workshops from her home studio for about 5 years now and is excited to come and work with us at the Caterham Art Room offering seasonal workshops throughout the year.  Her pottery hobby has grown into a small local business through her love for meeting and working with local people and sharing the joys and therapeutic nature of working with clay.
