A unique addition to your Christmas decorations, learn how to make a woven angel with maker Emily. Using cane and some festive accents this beginner friendly session will introduce you to the world of weaving. A level of dexterity required in the hands.

Learn the basics of working with polymer clay whilst creating beautiful pieces of your own. A fun way to try a new hobby or enjoy an activity with friends. Jess will finish and assemble your pieces in the week and return them to the studio ready for collection.

Suitable for absolute beginners, you will first slab-build a small shallow dish, cover it with a coloured slip and then, using the sgraffito techniques, decorate it. After the workshop, Nathalie will take the pots back to her studio to dry, be bisque fired and clear glazed. Your finished pottery will be ready for collection from Caterham Craft Room no later than 6 weeks later.

Explore watercolours with Amanda. Passionate about making art accessible for everyone, Amanda will guide you through the techniques of using watercolours, giving you a new skill and hobby to take away.

Begin by choosing your blank or pre-drawn canvas and discussing ideas, then let your creativity flow as you paint freely during a healing sound bath. The focus is not on the finished product but on the journey to creating it.

Sing, dance and paint your heart out in this lively party atmosphere. Visit the streets of Santorini to the soundtrack of Abba in our Mamma Mia themed workshop, or transport yourself to the set of your favorite musical. Though each workshop carries a different theme, the aim is still the same:

This is a slow, mindful process so you won’t be finished in 2 hours, but you will gain the skills and materials needed to complete it at home.

Create your own ceramic christmas tree to house a tea light bringing a pleasant glow to your Christmas display. Led by maker Emily Chilvers you will be guided with handbuilding techniques to build your tree which will then be glazed and fired and ready to collect 2-3weeks after the workshop.

This dynamic class gives parents the opportunity to get creative whilst engaging their little ones to do the same. We hope this class gives busy parents a chance to relax and socialise with other parents, but also provide a great bonding activity with their child.
